2019 Junior Club Championship

2019 CITY TOYOTA JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

When is it on ?

Friday 8th March (First and Second round matches )

Friday 15th March (Balance of matches and finals )

Note: Matches are scheduled from 5pm. Some matches may need to be played weekends and mid-week depending on the structure of each draw, player availability, school camps or weather.

Conditions of entry

Players must be a junior member of MTC.

Players must pay their entry fee by no later than midnight Sunday 3rd March 2019 to be eligible to play.

Players must agree to abide by the tournament organisers decisions which are final.

Players must be available to play matches on the above listed dates.

What events can you enter?

Singles (age based) and Open Doubles - This year’s Junior Club Championship will again consist of singles, and will also include an open doubles.

Player age for singles is based on their age as at Sunday, 21 October 2018 (same age group as Pennants ). Singles Players are able to play in their own age group or a higher age group but not both.

Doubles is open so doubles pairs can consist of 12, 14 or 16’s (or combination). There will be a boys draw and a girls draw.

What is the cost?

$10.00 per player if entering one event only.

If entering singles and doubles the cost is $15 per player.

How do you enter ?

Email darren@thorntons.biz and advise the following;

Events you wish to enter (eg 12 & Under, 14 & Under or 16 & Under Singles – Boys or Girls, Doubles).

For doubles please advise your doubles partner

(You should arrange a doubles partner before entering. If you do not have one you can still enter and we will attempt to find you one)

How is the draw worked?

Players are seeded based on their singles ranking.

Depending on number of entrants competition events will be either “knockout” or “round robin”

The draw will be published by 6pm Wednesday 6th March 2019 (both emailed to all players and displayed on the club noticeboard).

Same rules apply as single pennants (12 & Under play Fast 4, 14 & Under and 16 & Under play 2 sets and a deciding match super tie breaker). Doubles matches will be fast 4 format and rules.
