Club update - Temporary closure of Manning Tennis Club and all associated activities

Hi all,

We’re writing to you to inform you that in accordance with the Government’s restrictions, we will be ceasing all tennis operations at the club until further notice. This includes all club activities, social play, coaching, court hire and casual play.

As people who love this sport, we understand that some of you may miss the game, the satisfaction of hitting a cracking forehand or even the sheepish feeling of a winner off a complete shank on a big point where you apologise but you’re really silently pleased you bought the racquet with the larger frame.

However while we may not be able to do all of that on court for a while, we can still get our tennis fix while staying at home – whether it’s mini tennis, practicing your volleys or even shadow tennis, there’s many ways we can still play the game. And if you miss doing it with others, please share what you’re doing at home on social media and tag us in it or join our Facebook Group if you’re not already in it and share it with the group. If you don’t know where to start, we’ve got your back and will look to see if we can create some tennis challenges for you.

For those of you who are part of the Tennis Academy coaching program, you’ll also receive an additional email with more information about what next.

We want to say thank you for all your understanding and patience and a great big thanks to anyone who is on the frontline battling this pandemic.

As we intensive our efforts to minimise the spread collectively, please remember that we’re staying home not just for us but for our loved ones and each other.
